This programme follows the development of combine harvesters from the Massey Harris 21 era of 1941 to the Massey Ferguson 29 of 1984 during which time combine harvesters changed almost beyond recognition. The developments are show by looking in detail at 22 key models at work in 2009.
Models featured include Massey Harris 21 and 780 special, Claas SF, Matador Standard, Senator 85 and Dominator 85, Massey-Ferguson 400, 525, 865 and 29, New Holland Clayson 1545 and 8070, IH 1420 Axial Flow plus many other well know models from manufactures of the era.
