County Tractor Working Days – With Ford Conversions

Over a cloudless weekend in September 2003 a remarkable collection of tractors from County and other specialist manufacturers enjoyed perfect working conditions at Tedburn St Mary, near Exeter, Devon.


The models shown in this programme range from early conversions based on the Fordson Major through to the massive Muir-Hill 171 and County 1884. Well-known machines of the 1960s and 70s, including the County 1124, Roadless 120 and Northrop 5004, are seen at work.


Although the video focuses on County tractors, machines from Bray, Doe, Matbro and other manufacturers are in action with a range of ploughs and other cultivation equipment.

The event was held with the kind permission of Bowden Farms. Proceeds were in aid of the Devon Air Ambulance and Exeter Mid and East Devon Samaritans.
