OUT OF STOCK AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE, SORRY.
This third volume in the series of ‘Lincoln’s Excavators’ continues the story of Ruston-Bucyrus Ltd through the two decades following World War II. This period was often referred to as the company’s ‘golden years’, the 1950s/1960s seeing full order books and production at the Excavator Works at peak levels.
The traditional product line of excavators was continually being improved upon and to these were added new lines such as Tower Cranes and Hydraulic Excavators. Correspondingly new machinery was being installed and new production techniques introduced at he Excavator Works; never was the oft quoted remark about his Lincoln company more believable – “a job at RB is a job for life”.
Like earlier volumes this book draws upon previously unpublished photographs to tell the story of the factory the workforce and large range of products that proudly carried the Lincoln name to every part of the world.
Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs.
