The articulated pivot steer tractor is a mainstay of American tractor design, its influence though, has spread far and wide – not least to Britain. In this DVD we take a journey through the history of this type of tractor as it made it’s impact in the UK, starting with the Doe Triple D and Matbro Mastiff, taking in the MF 1200 and then all the imports from North America, including those from Steiger, Versatile and IH as well as the badge engineering exercises, such as the Ford FW series. Using archive and contemporary footage we find out why the articulated tractor, be it fitted with wheels or tracks, is so important to British agriculture, in the past and today.
