The Scammell name is no more. Tolpits Land has been redeveloped and even Leyland, its latter day parent company, is now but a shadow of its form self However the regard held by enthusiasts and followers alike for the Watford- built vehicles remains undiminished.

This book does not claim in any way to be definitive history, but does contain much information and photographs not seen in previous Scammell histories,  It also endeavours to link the past to the present and the future by recognising Unipower’s role in carrying the specialist build traditions of Watford forward.
