Filmed in the American midwest from mid-April this film looks at the enormous machinery used to prepare for corn and soybean planting. In this 90-minute film, Jörn und Tammo Gläser document fieldwork in the most important agricultural states in North America: Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota. This elaborately made film shows more than 25 different modern and sometimes very unusual agricultural machines at work on the fields using seed drills, seedbed cultivators and slurry technology. The two filmmakers also share many scenic shots and spectacular weather phenomena they encountered along the 4,600-kilometer route.
Experience a lot of insights into the farm equipment, crop farming and the stories behind the machines. Four-wheel-drive and tracked tractors from John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Versatile and Co. in action on the vast fields of North America.
