Two volumes originally released on VHS, now digitally enhanced for improved sound and picture quality and combined on one DVD. Volume one looks in detail at over twenty different engines, including some rare makes, the oldest is an 1892 Hornsby Ackroyd; the most recent a 1930s Loughborough College engine. Volume two takes a closer look at the workings of a variety of machines from British and American manufacturers. Produced in conjunction with Stationary Engine magazine.
