Eleanor Mitchell was born into a prominent Lancashire fairground family in 1906. She recorded details of her family and her early life both on and off the fairground. At the age of sixteen she became the European typing champion, and went on to win many competitions. Her son Tommy Green has brought these details together and added lavish illustrations, many previously unpublished, to give a vivid picture of a time long since past. The book details all the rides and engines which were owned and travelled by Mitchells from the Sea-on-Land of 1881 to the Maxwell Ark Speedway which was new in 1996. 100 pages with over 100 photographs.
