Oliver were major tractor and implement manufacturers in the United States, but unfortunately post war dollar shortages prevented the import of Oliver products into the United Kingdom. These films were made in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s and provide fascinating insight into a growing and successful company. Some of the crops and techniques are unfamiliar to our eyes, but none the less interesting.

Industrial equipment from the ‘Cletrac’ range is featured as well as an ingenious front loader which discharges to the rear over the driver’s head. These hard selling films form an interesting insight to tractor sales promotion ‘American style’.
