This was the fourth in Maurice Saunders extraordinarily successful series on Round Timber Haulage. Once again he produced a wonderful set of stories about the ‘giant’ characters of the timber transport industry.
To illustrate their stories he selected over 100 unique and mainly unpublished photographs of vehicles often giant in size and in the loads they carried, powered by steam, petrol or diesel.
Packed with pictures of Latils, Leylands, Fodens, E.R.F.’s, Matadors, and many others as well as forest machinery and military vehicles.
